1947-2022
Romeo Lopez was born to Sixto and Bernarda Lopez on December 28, 1947, the middle child.
He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila, Philippines in 1969.
He held engineering jobs in the manufacturing companies in Manila.
On 1978 the company he was working for sent him to their home office in Ohio. On the way there, he made a stop over in Brea, California
where we got together. When he went back to the Philippines, he decided to go to the United States. On 1981, he migrated to the USA with
brother, Andy who just finished his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1980, they were permanent residents.
On 1983, he moved to Chicago to marry his long time sweetheart, Vilma. On 1995, after 12 years, Vilma passed away at the age of 47.
Romeo, never remarried.
After Five years, he decided to move back to San Diego because his siblings live here.
He lived a very simple life, a quiet life, the way he wanted. He died peacefully as well. He is loved, leaving a sister,
Ditas Ibarra with her son, Roger Bernard and his wife, Sherie and son, Roger William. Also a brother,
Andy Lopez with his wife, Didi and daughter, Deanne.
