Romley Keith Krueger
September 8, 1938 – April 24, 2018
SAN DIEGO – It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts the family of Romley Keith Krueger announce his passing. He was a most beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, neighbor and friend.
Romley was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 8, 1938. His family moved to Southern California when he was young and he graduated from Santa Monica High School.
Romley was married to the love of his life and best friend, Lorie, for 58 years. They met in Junior High at the age of 12 and from there their love grew. Throughout their marriage, Romley and Lorie had four children. Romley served in the United States Marine Corps from July 1957 – July 1963 and to this day continues to proudly fly the American and Marine Corp flag at his home.
Romley was loyal member of Local Union 569 in San Diego with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and worked over 17 year at San Onofre Power Plant and on many sites throughout San Diego County.
Romley loved to cook (skills he learned the Marine Corp) and generously shared meals with family, neighbors and friends. He cherished his family, readily lend a helping hand to all and had the greatest stories. He enjoyed the outdoors and hobbies such as fishing, boating, camping, projects around the home, entertaining, travelling and trying his luck at the casinos.
Romley is survived by his wife, Lorie, and their three daughters, Patricia Perkins (Ron Perkins), Randy Krueger (deceased), Kim Pollack (Glenn Pollack), Kathleen Bruce, and two grandchildren, Aubrie Lloyd-Jones and Justine Pollack, as well as his sister, Penelope Pigott.
