Rose Marie Hyll's Obituary
Rose Marie (Sattely) Hyll, 85, of San Diego, CA, passed away on April 21, 2023. She was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on October 6, 1937. Rose graduated from St. Cecelia High School in 1955. She was married to John Hyll on July 20, 1967. He predeceased her in 2009. Rose worked as a secretary for stock brokers first on Wall Street and then later in Salt Lake City. She was also a dedicated mother. She was passionate about baking, knitting, cats, and playing video poker. She is survived by her daughters, Anastasia Stabile (Paul+) and Michele Vu (Nha Dai), and step-son John Hyll (Jennifer) along with 8 grandchildren: Luke, Maria, Ethan, and Clay Stabile; Gustav, Joseph, and Gregory Vu; and John A. Hyll. Preceding her in death are her parents Rose and Rudolph Sattely and her brothers Rudolph and James Sattely. Funeral services will be held at Ascension Catholic Church, 11292 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92124; rosary at 9 AM and Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetary, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102, immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Brain Foundation or the San Diego Humane Society.
