Sharrell Ann Boyer's Obituary
Sharrell “Sherri” Ann Boyer of Alpine, California, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 27th, 2025.
Sherri was born to Roy Dennett and Margaret Paulson on October 10, 1946, in Armour, South Dakota. She attended Riverside High School in Sioux City, Iowa, and married her former husband, Marvin Rodvold, in 1964. They had three children and lived in Blaine, Minnesota. In 1978, Sherri moved to San Diego, California, to be closer to her parents and siblings, followed by a move to Alpine in 1989. Sherri married her soulmate, Reginald “Reggie” Boyer, in 1990.
Sherri was a long-time employee at Executone, where she began as an entry-level accountant and progressed to executive management. After retirement, Sherri and Reggie enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV, with a particular fondness for Laughlin, Nevada. After Reggie passed in 2006, Sherri continued to travel the world with her daughter, Kelly. She loved spending time with her sister-in-law and close friend, Kitty, and having fun at her local casino. When at home, she enjoyed sewing, building puzzles, and tending to her many plants around the house. Her favorite thing, however, was to spend time with her two beloved dogs, Sugie and Shadow.
Sherri was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Boyer, and siblings Dione Fielding and Maurice Paulsen. She is survived by her siblings, Dian (Gary) Gelman, Dick (Kitty) Dennett, and Bill Dennett; her children, Todd Rodvold, Troy (Jennifer) Rodvold, and Kelly Sullivan, along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be held at Clairemont Mortuary (4266 Mt. Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117) on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Sherri was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, therefore, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Jude Memorial fund set up in her name. http://fundraising.stjude.org/goto/SherriBoyer
