Stephanie Jeanne Borkowski's Obituary
On February 3, 2023, our beautiful girl Stephanie Jeanne Borkowski, age 32, of Boone and formerly of San Diego, California, was unexpectedly taken from us. She left this world with the person who adored her most, her mother Pamela Mary Borkowski, age 55. Stephanie and Pam always lived their lives close to each other, seeing or talking with each other every day. They were never apart for long. They are now together forever.
Stephanie leaves behind her devoted father Todd Borkowski. She was his first born, his special girl. The two spent countless hours together, chatting and laughing, like two best friends do. She also leaves behind her dearest brother Steven Borkowski and her baby sister Britney Druin. She was and always will be their Sis. She also leaves behind her two nephews Easton and Brantley, her niece Ella Cate, and another niece who is on the way. We will never let them forget their Aunt Steph.
Stephanie also leaves behind her grandparents Richard and Jeanne McAlindin. She was predeceased by her grandparents LaVerne and Judith, and her uncle Kevin Borkowski. We know they are embracing her right now. She leaves behind her aunts Lisa, Kristi, Sarah, Julie, Cassie, Sandi, Becki, and Michelle, and her uncles Jason, Scott B., Mark H., Mark B., Scott J., Carl and Rick, who watched her grow up beautifully from a feisty firecracker to a lovely young woman. She leaves behind close cousins who will miss their Steph with all their hearts.
Stephanie was our red-headed sweetheart, the quiet one in the room, and the one who noticed everyone and everything. She was wicked smart with her head always in a book, and a stack of books nearby. When you came into her life, she let you into her heart forever. She loved to just sit and be in the same room as you. She loved to laugh with you. She loved to make you laugh. She could be witty and silly at the same time. She was always up for an adventure if she could share it with you. She called for no reason at all except to hear your voice. She showed her love in her small kindnesses and sweet thoughts. She cherished everyone in her family, and they loved her more than she could ever know.
We will miss you so much, Stephanie. We will miss your sweet face. We will miss your smiles. We will miss your laugh. Please watch over your mom as she watches over you. We will think of you every day until we see you again. Until then, our Princess.
A Mass will be held for Stephanie and Pamela on Saturday, February 18th at 1pm at St. Mary Magdalene, 1945 Illion St. in San Diego, California.
Stephanie loved and surrounded herself with her dogs, going nowhere without them. She adopted any she could and took them home to sit and read with her. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the Boone County Humane Society at https://bahs.us/monthly-donations/.
