Stephen Faulkner Moran IV's Obituary
Stephen Moran passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2026. He was born in San Diego to Stephen and Marilyn Moran on November 17, 1952. He attended Longfellow Elementary and Clairemont High School. He later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study and work as a CT/MRI Technologist where he met his wife, Marti Ogaz Mangiantini. After having returned to live in San Diego to help care for his aging parents, Marti moved to San Diego where they were married in 2012. In 2025 Stephen entered into the Catholic church where he and Marti renewed their vows at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Stephen enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling and spent much of his time with his five grandchildren. He especially enjoyed playing boardgames with them, Legos, building WWII models, floor wrestling, traveling to fun places and making them laugh.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Moran III, his mother, Marilyn (Fish) Moran and a dear brother-in-law Rene Nunez. He is survived by his wife Marti (Ogaz) Moran, his siblings Susan Martin, Caroline Moran, his daughters Amber Lesset (Damon), Danielle Moran, his step daughters, Christina Senn (Matt), Jennea Mangiantini, Kelli Mangiantini (Andrea), his grandchildren, Wyatt Priestley (16), Jonas Priestley (14), Ella Senn (14), Justin Senn (14), and Aurelio Molinari (5).
Services will be held at the Immaculata Parish (USD Campus) 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110, followed by internment at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA, 92102. A warm gathering of friends and family will be held immediately after. Place and time will be announced after the Mass. Donations can be made to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, 1945 Illion Street, San Diego, CA 92110 and/or The Immaculata Church, USD Campus, 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110.
