Terry Lee Bauman's Obituary
Obituary for Terry L. Bauman
August 22, 1947 – September 26, 2025
Terry L. Bauman, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on August 22, 1947, Terry grew up in San Diego and graduated from Madison High School. Following his education, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation.
Terry carried a deep appreciation for history and was an active member of the San Diego Historical Society of Idyllwild. His love for collecting antique postcards not only brought him joy but also contributed to the preservation of the region’s heritage.
An avid outdoorsman, Terry found great peace and happiness fishing and hiking in the Eastern Sierras. He was also a passionate golfer who spent many memorable days on the greens of Torrey Pines Golf Course. Among his favorite places was Idyllwild, California, which held special meaning to him and his beloved wife, Charlene, as the place where they were married.
Terry’s greatest pride and joy, however, was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Wagner; his sister, Patti Erwin, and her husband, Dave; his son, Lee Bauman, and Lee’s wife, Carini; Lee's mother, Lynda Ricci; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, and Oliver. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Jenny Wagner and Brooke Nunn, along with his step-grandchildren, Julia Gore and Dylan Nunn.
Terry will be remembered for his warmth, his quiet strength, and the love he shared so generously with his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held at Clairemont Mortuary on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
