Thomas Gerard Wessels Jr's Obituary
Thank you all for the love and support you have sent over to my mom, me and our family the past few days, we are so grateful and are getting thru this with as much positivity as we can muster, just as Tom/Dad/Gramps would've wanted from all of us.
We just got confirmation last night regarding services, information is as follows ❤️🩹
Honorable US Military Ceremony to be held at Miramar National Cemetery on Thursday, April 24th at 10:30am followed by a Celebration of Life at The High Dive (me and Dad's place) at 1801 Morena Blvd, from 1pm on.
We know that traveling isn't always easy or affordable and we want to make sure that everyone knows that we would love to see anyone that can attend but that there are also no pressures or expectations to be present, dad would say "I wanna see you while I'm here, not when I'm gone" (and this was long before he was ever sick). We just want to make sure that no one feels like this has to be the time.
We will be sharing the celebration on an open video call, linked HERE so family and friends that can't be present can still be "present" at the celebration and talk to guests. We want to make it as accessible as possible, as dad would have wanted 💕
All gestures are so very appreciated but absolutely not necessary or expected.
If you feel strongly, in lieu of flowers, we would suggest a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his memory, which was always his favorite charity.
Please reach out if you need any additional information from us.
