Wade Martin O'Harra's Obituary
Wade Martin O'Harra passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, at home, at the age of 84, surrounded by family and love. He is survived by his wife Catherine O'Harra, children Andre O'Harra of Banning, CA, Martina Roland and Victoria O'Harra of San Diego, CA, Sabina Padelford of Oregon and Alan O'Harra of Golden Valley, Arizona, as well as stepsons Bret Hamelin and Scott Hamelin of San Diego, CA. His sons Monte O'Harra and Michel O'Harra predeceased him. Wade was fortunate to have 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren! Wade was a self-made man with a brilliant legal mind who through hard work, determination and a little luck became an attorney with credentials in California and Argentina. He was an entrepreneur and a lifelong student of languages, religion, spirituality and the law. He lived an incredible life packed with endless adventures, impressive accomplishments, foreign travels, witty remarks, deep laughs and extensive knowledge. He was born on October 2, 1939, in Eugene, Oregon, grew up in Laguna Beach, California and went on to live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Geneva, Switzerland before settling in San Diego, California 33 years ago. Some of Wade's passions were playing chess and ballroom dancing. He held a third-degree black belt in martial arts with a special emphasis in Aikido. Everyone who knew him described him as a man who lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. He was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed!
