William Roy Endorf's Obituary
William (Will) Roy Endorf
January 22, 1941 – February 23, 2026
Will was born in San Diego CA to Roy and Vivian Endorf. His father, Roy,
was in the navy and WWII kept the family moving around. Will
remembered being a young boy in Guam. After the war, the family came
back to San Diego. Will grew up in a house in North Pacific Beach and
graduated from La Jolla High School.
After drifting through life, he finally bought some rental units in Ocean
Beach on Cape May Avenue. He lived in Ocean Beach for 40 years. He
became a legend to those who knew him and loved him. He turned his
garage into a weight room and a gathering place for many. He was always
ready to help anyone who needed advice or tools to repair a motorcycle,
bicycle or car. He installed bunk beds in that garage to shelter people who
found themselves in need of a place to sleep during rough times. Will had a
giant heart and was always willing to give people a helping hand, but only if
they helped themselves by looking for work!
Will lived life large, much of it on his motorcycle. Nothing was too
challenging for him to tackle. When he was on the road, if the bike broke
down, he saw that as part of the adventure, a story to tell.
He was a bachelor until, after a 32-year long courtship, he asked Judy Lee
(Tuggle) to be his wife. They were married on October 9, 2019. He took to
married life well. He took pleasure in calling her “Wife” after they were
married. Judy shared many of Will’s adventures during the 40 years they
had together.
At 85 years of age, with his wife always at his side, Will struggled to
overcome the debilitating pain caused by earlier injuries and age- related
degenerative arthritis. On February 23, 2026, he could no longer fight it and
passed away at home.
