I have known Jim as a friend and neighbor here in Solana Beach, CA since the mid 1980's. He worked hard as President of the Homeowners Association, and he helped me learn the ropes when I was starting out in the airlines. He introduced me to the Del Mar Yacht Club community, and I will always remember him as a purveyor of fun and an upbeat smiling face who enjoyed people. We miss you, brother Jim. May you rest in peace.

As a young man, Jim was funny and quick-witted, though somewhat quiet. As my former brother-in-law, I am saddened to learn of his passing, but grateful he has entered into eternal life.

I loved Jim very much for the last 38 years. I meat him at NAS Dallas. We were once very close. We have stayed in touch all this time. We emailed last in Feburay. I dreamed he had been very ill and asked to see me. It was around the same time he past. I was hoping my dream was wrong. I will truly miss my dear friend. Lynda Silva Dodson
