I am so sorry to hear of Jims passing and for your family's loss. Jim was one of a kind and we worked side by side at Ryan and at Northrop for close to 15 years. We both came to work at Ryan in 1995. Jim loved his work and was sharp as a whip. He made everybody's job easier. He sure had a lot of good stories. We use to talk baseball a lot. His Blue Jay and my Redsox and yes the Padres were our 2nd team, I guess you could say. I know he enjoyed his season tickets with you Sheila and was so proud and happy when his granddaughter was born. When they had the big layoff at Ryan, Jim and I were the last 2 subcontract administrators left. We laughed as we had our own offices and almost the whole floor to ourselves. Later we ended up sharing a closet with Dennis White for several months in Rancho Bernardo, when Northrop acquired Ryan Oh my! Such a shock!May God bless the Masterson family and may his memory always give joy and comfort. With deepest sympathy, Glenn Stinson

I had the good fortune to work with Jim in Subcontracts from the time our Fire Scout program began. He and I shared an office in Bldg. 2 and, needless to say, Jim always had something interesting, funny or very provocative to say on any (and every) topic. His sense of humor made the long work days fly by and he sure put in the LONG hours. At the same time, Jim was always regarded as a wealth of knowledge by his peers and leadership and he always proved himself to be the go to person to keep our programs running. We worked together for ~13 years and I was sad to see him retire. Jim had the most incredible memory regarding his work, professional life and especially his love of baseball. We both shared a love for baseball cards and memorabilia and his knowledge in the topic was endless. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all those who cared so much for him.IĆ¢??ll miss you Jim. ~Chris Herbers
