John was one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. When we first met we had an instant bond over fish tanks. We chatted for hours on various subjects and he is the person responsible for getting me back into the fish hobby. Whenever I look at my fish tanks now, I’ll be reminded of John, a kind and calm soul who brought joy to everyone he touched. Rest in Peace John - Dave A.

John was a very good, generous, thoughtful, compassionate, and caring person. He was a wonderful husband and loved his wife Sarah very much. He was a true father to Mason and Melody his children. Providing for them, caring for them, helping them navigate through life, loving them, he sincerely met his obligations as a loving father to them. John was a loving grandfather to his daughter Melodies children, a proud grandfather. John was always so good to our Mom. Giovanni she would loving call him, I'll never forget how good he was to Mom. John is missed. God have mercy on John and welcome him into your Kingdom. Pray for John.

I didn't get to know John well, as I had moved into the neighborhood only about a year and a half before John's transplant, but I remember how friendly he was whenever I walked by with my dogs or my parrot. His love of cars was obvious! I also noticed how meticulous he was about the exterior Christmas lights and decorations that adorned the house each year. I don't know that he ever knew how much they were admired and appreciated. I remember the surprise on his face and then big smile when I pulled up one day in front of him on my Harley! He, of course, didn't recognize the "biker chick" coming at him. That was fun seeing the big smile spread across his face. I'm sure he will be missed by all, but his spirit and the memories of him live on. --Arlis Travis
