Joy, we just heard about Ken's going to be with the Lord. We are so thankful for your friendship and letters to us through the years and the support you sent to us also. We pray you will be comforted knowing that he is enjoying what he has been looking forward to for years….heaven. God is good….always! We have good memories of when you were here in Naples, Italy.
Joy and family, We just found out about Ken going to be with His Lord. We will miss his letters to us and interest in the work here in Naples,Italy over the years. Take comfort in the fact that he is enjoying what for right now we can only imagine. Our last letter from him included The Slow Dance and info about the family and encouragement about the work here. Kareen was my daycare mom for my two kids and they enjoyed "Grandpa Gordon's" visits very much. He was a natural and a great man of God. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Pastor Ken was a huge part of the First Baptist Church of Montclair. Many of us moved through our teen to adult years under his watch. Our prayers go out to the family, and we offer our condolences at the loss of this man of God.

I'm very sad and sorry to see that we lost Coach Gordon. He was my son's first coach at Balboa Little League and the best one he'd ever have. My son (now 26 yrs old) and I both thought the world of him. Happily, my path with Coach crossed again when I worked at his doctor's office in Clairemont for a short while and he remembered my son as if no time at all had passed. I just thought the world of this man and just wanted his immediate family to know what a difference he made in our lives just by being the decent unassuming man, and Coach, that he was.
We have fond memories of Pastor Gordon at Montclair First Baptist. I enjoyed his email letters telling of his writing and his family. Joy, we send our sympathy and our love. -Ken and Carol Meeks
