Robert Milan Tomovich's Obituary
Tomovich, Robert Milan “Bob” 01/25/1964 ~ 04/11/2014 SAN DIEGO — Robert (Bob) Milan Tomovich, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away in his home on April 11, 2014 surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his father, Miljan Tomovich; and survived by his mother, Milica Lafayette; step-father, Bill Lafayette; brother, Thom Tomovich; sisters, Liz Piper-Feeler Cathie Stempel and Maryann Jacobsen; and eight nieces and nephews. Bob was a native San Diegan and grew up in Clairemont. He was fortunate to find a second family at Rite Aid in Tierrasanta, where he worked tirelessly as a clerk. He was an avid sports fan especially dedicated to the Padres and Chargers — win or lose. Earlier in his life, he enjoyed surfing and is remembered as a “legendary Clairemont surf rat.” Bob’s signature gift was his ability to make others feel good. Even in his final days in the hospital, he was cracking jokes and making the nurses and doctors feel at ease. His sense of humor, warm spirit and strong work ethic will be remembered by the many people who loved him. Bob’s services will be held on Saturday, April 19th at 12:30 pm, at the Clairemont Mortuary with a reception following. Arrangements under the direction of Clairemont Mortuary, San Diego, CA.
