To Steve and his family:We were sadden to hear about the passing of your father. Please know that our sympathy is with you in this your time of grieving. We pray that you will have strength during this time of your loss and rest assured knowing that you can lean upon us for any support.Rod was a generous person who opened up his home and his heart to help many of us, who previously stumbled, embark on a new exciting journey. While some people would turn their backs to us, Rod looked out for our safety and well being which are critical components for success during a transitional period. We in the community recognize his efforts, his positive contributions, and hope his legacy will continue into the future. We want to let you know that we are here for you if you need anything. We all know how difficult it is to pick up the phone and make that call. Expect us to call you soon. Our heartfelt condolences,Your Brothers at Amethyst Landing
Rod was my dad's best friend and became a best friend to me. I will always treasure the conversations I had with Rod over the years – he called on my birthday and my dad's birthday every year like clockwork and we shared the ups and downs of each others' families. I can't help but smile at just the thought of Rod – the "gentle giant". His thoughtfulness, kindness, wisdom, and love have certainly enriched my life. We already miss you and are so thankful for all of the wonderful years we shared. Say hi to my dad for me!-Bruce McCorkendale
