What a beautiful tribute. I am a nephew, oldest son of Katherine. My memories of Aunt Sarah are elusive at best. I can see the joy that she brought to her family and I know there is disappointment in her death. Time and distance separates many families. However, the work of the Lord on our behalf gives us hope for the future and a reunion with those we love. I am remiss in the fact that I did not get to know such a wonderful person and the family that she raised. In my work as a hospice chaplain we say quite frequently, "Those who are remembered never die." I sat on a swing with my mom, your Aunt Katherine,on Tuesday as she talked about her loss and yours. The span of time and space never diminished her love for her sister. My prayers will be with each of you Monday morning as you remember fondly your Mom, Grand Mom, Great Grand Mom, my Aunt.
