Mrs. Murphy was the most engaging 5th grade teacher. My friends and I have so many wonderful memories of her class, including this oral book report assignment. Mrs. Murphy encouraged us to dress up after reading a biography of our choosing. She was a wonderful educator. Soft spoken, serious, but she knew what would make us erupt with laughter- which is what made us hang on her every word. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I met Suzi when she came to teach at the school my son was attending. In truth, I was apprehensive of her at first as she was a very intelligent, well poised and beautiful woman. It did not take long, however, for her to become a wonderful and greatly admired friend. During her time at that school, I was given the opportunity to be her teacher’s aide, and to tell the truth I loved that year very much! We laughed, ate chocolate, and I must admit I learned a lot from being in her classroom. I also had never met anyone who could wear red so well. My family and I grew so very fond of her and Tim. Even after she left that school we kept in touch, and I still have the beautiful and funny cards she sent me. The ones with the impeccable handwriting and lovely notes. God brought Suzi into my life to be a forever friend. Suzi is still my dear dear friend, but I will have to wait till I see her in heaven to continue our friendship in person. I miss her greatly.
